These Creek Banks Were Hiding Our RAREST DISCOVERY Yet - An Unforgettable Find Shrouded in Mystery!
This treasure hunt started out like any normal day. We're always optimistic, but we never know exactly what we're going to find, and that's what makes the thrill of the hunt so exciting. In this video, we had NO idea we'd find such a beautiful piece of history buried beneath the ground.

So in this video I teamed up with another friend, David, who's from the area and has a UA-cam channel of his own....

Your little stoneware pot: those were used for medicanal ointments and maybe a cosmetic applicaton. The Long Potters making faces: THOSE LOOK LIKE BELLAMINE JUGS FROM THE MIDDLE AGES! This guys knew the history of their craft! Using the natural local geology to make their glazes, wow, they were masters. If you truly want to try this, just to see how to do it, try watching some Time Team here on youtube] episodes where they built medieval kilns and even Bronze Age Kilns. Very simple kilns, but it would give you and idea of what you can do. Time Team is an archeology show on the BBC.

So cool you all take such an interest in the history of what you find. We dug many many dumps out here in and around Buckeye Az. My sons would find the best stuff. I guessed cuz they were closer to the ground.lol. But they would find an entire statue of an oriental woman but no head. And 2 months later we would find the head. The marbles were so beautiful. We found so much really good stuff. Beads rings broochs and belt buckles and fantastic bottles. Thanks and keep finding .

Between Montgomery and Wetumpka there is a huge hill, people have been pulling different colors of clay out of that area for a hundred years. You can see the clays right next to the road. There is white , Grey, red and dark red. So.e make a tea out of the white one. The county stopped people from digging it at roadside because it was making caves. My und weer standing is those clays were used all over to make jugs, and such.

That bowl you got out, that you thought was beautiful, is a piece of blue and white sponge ware. I collect sponge ware and that would have been a great collectors piece. And the white container was most likely a ladies cold cream. Love the jug you just got out. What a great dig you are on!

Just yesterday I found a stash of bottles I had found years ago , all from about the turn of the century ( 19th to 20th ) or so . Lots of curatives , like the obligatory Dr Kilmers Swamp Root Extract , Pinex cough syrup , a Henry K Wampole whatever , Groves Tasteless Chill Tonic , and half a dozen other intact bottles , an ink bottle , shoe polish bottle , etc . I had the Kilmers on display for a while years ago , until one of cats decided to investigate the gravity thing ...

The jug dates back to just 40 some years into Georgia 's statehood. So many more questions... To me, going down the Rabbit holes are as much fun as the search for the items themselves.
